How the Concrete Calculator Works

This calculator helps you estimate the amount of concrete needed for slabs, footings, walls, and other construction projects. Enter the length, width, and depth to get the total volume in cubic feet, cubic yards, and cubic meters.

Formulas Used

The calculator uses standard concrete volume formulas:

• Volume (cubic feet): Length × Width × Depth (in feet)
• Depth conversion: Depth (inches) ÷ 12
• Cubic Yards: Cubic Feet ÷ 27
• Cubic Meters: Cubic Feet × 0.0283168

Example

Example for a slab 10 ft × 12 ft × 4 inches deep:

Depth in feet = 4 ÷ 12 = 0.333 ft
Volume (ft³) = 10 × 12 × 0.333 = 39.96 ft³
Cubic Yards = 39.96 ÷ 27 = 1.48 yd³
Cubic Meters = 39.96 × 0.0283168 = 1.13 m³
