Formulas Used

The calculator uses standard sales tax formulas:

• Tax Amount: Price × (Tax Rate ÷ 100)
• Total Price: Price + Tax Amount
• Reverse Tax (optional): Total ÷ (1 + Tax Rate ÷ 100)

Example

Example for price = $100 and tax rate = 8%:

Tax Amount = 100 × 0.08 = 8
Total Price = 100 + 8 = $108
